San Diego Bay & Coronado Island

A more ideal coastline biking venue is hard to imagine. Starting from a variety of locations in the beautiful Seaport Village area, this tour proceeds to the Coronado Ferry for a quick ride to the island. Departing the ferry, riders follow a quiet scenic route to the famous "Silver Strand" traversing miles of bike paths sandwiched between the San Diego "Bay" on one side, and Pacific Ocean "Breakers" on the other. Only spectacular homes and hotels break the scenery. The return trip back down the strand includes a stop at the famous Hotel Del Coronado where refreshments and a break on the patio overlooking the ocean are fitting reward for the preceding miles.
